Surveys and interviews of new believers, mature believers and leaders revealed that growing churches, randomly chosen, have members who invite widely and, particularly, those whom the Spirit is drawing. Visitors are struck by the welcome, the fellowship, the worship, and a sense of connecting with God. The study uses a survey format to obtain data regarding church planting in the Churches of Christ in Australia.  The total number of congregations is approximately 450 with 102 responding to the survey.  20% of the churches responding had attempted a church plant in the last ten years. Northern Thai Christians provide insight into traditional and biblical phii and the  project assesses the influence of traditional spirit concepts on biblical understanding.  According to Thai Christian understanding, traditional phii and biblical demons are not related, but during Christian exorcism traditional concepts play an important role. This bibliographic study examines the history, beliefs, and practices of fifteen important new sects with special emphasis on their worldview within the historical context of Japanese religions.  It is the author's thesis that although the new religions appear modern in form, they remain essentially animistic.
