The author facilitated pre- and post-screening clinics and administered questionnaires before and after a twelve-week implementation program to see if there were any change(s) in lifestyle patterns. Participants experienced decrease in hypertension, body mass index and lowered blood glucose levels. The findings showed that persons who get involved in some lifestyle behavioral change can experience positive change. Particular theologies, doctrines, morals, and ethics of various religious traditions have contributed to the beliefs, attitudes, mores, and behaviors which have negatively influenced public policy regarding HIV/AIDS and harmfully impacted persons living with, and affected by, the disease.  This project defines the theological and religious barriers to HIV prevention and care and describes the personal and sociomoral impact these barriers impose on the public health system and public policy as well as persons living with HIV disease.
