First, this project reviews important historical markers in the development of Baptist theological education, making particular note of significant changes which have occurred in the past twenty years.Second, this project reviews recent research, by making use of data collected through orientation surveys, institutionally held demographic statistics, Association of Theological Schools (ATS) reports, phone interviews with institutions, and other publicly available research. The third part of this project draws on research in the areas of higher education, generational theory, marketing and organizational theory to help reveal ways institutions of theological education may evolve in order to adapt to changing cultural contexts. An intentional and systematic method of inquiry was employed in gathering information. The researcher used questionnaires and interviews to collect information. He concluded that both churches have a long history of guarding their traditions. This has resulted in conflicts. The members from both churches are willing to work together in partnership to minimize the conflicts."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b5eba5c2-141b-4673-9689-2f9720736859"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791128106503766018,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:54:32.566Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:35:06Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:48:22Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"212638b7-680a-4ed5-92c9-b6ea0f1593bb","accessControl_ssim":["700c6c8d-b4cf-493b-9449-1d04a02008af"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Training for transition and transformation: designing a new structure is only half the story"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:35:03Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:07:01Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["9cfbb871-dd78-422e-8d85-6bd3942b0825"],"hasLease_ssim":["303d9bea-6054-4f94-9eb5-3ee39e2f3ba3"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Stephen Hayner"],"year_tesim":["2009"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Richard D Boyer"],"publisher_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Burn out (Psychology)","Church management"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Prospect Presbyterian Church identified burnout and a lack of volunteers as a growing problem in the congregation.
