A presentation entitled, “God’s Black Children,” traced the spread of Christianity from the Day of Pentecost in Jerusalem, through Africa, through the Middle Passage, and to the Gullah people of St. Helena, SC. The first objective was to determine the extent of the knowledge of a sample of 144 Black Christians including bishops, pastors, deacons, and parishioners from South Carolina, Georgia, Africa, and the Caribbean. The survey of Washington State congregations will seek to validate the hypothesis that the gospel is understood as in the lordship salvation tradition rather than free grace tradition.  The purpose of the research project is embedded in the question, 'what is the gospel and how is it understood by people in the pews?' In order to test the hypothesis and answer the question, this researcher did the following: developed two separate survey questionnaires, one survey for the pastors of Washington State CBA churches and one survey for the congregants of Washington State CBA churches. The two surveys were then evaluated for areas of agreement and disagreement. This study sought to develop and test a model to train church planters in Eastern Europe.  This model was built around the multiplication mechanism found in 2 Timothy 2:2. A biblical study of church planting was done to establish a basis for the model and provide materials for teaching a church planting course.
