God commands believers to engage his word, and through obedience to this command, members have the opportunity for spiritual change. Scripture records both reading and/or listening as two mediums for engagement. In this project, the administrator directed members to engage Scripture through an aural medium. Listening and reflection templates along with five assessments provided measurable evaluations. Research identifies regional planning deficiencies among northeast Brazilian evangelicals. Training compensates by emphasizing group decision-making and problem-solving models oriented to church planting and leadership needs, especially dedicated to Vacation Missionary Projects (Promifé).  Research follows biblical-theological lines, using narrative passages of both testaments.  Theoretical investigation includes leadership, management, planning, education, church planting, training through coaching and small group dynamics.  Qualitative growth is observed among students. The uses the same instructors, entrance requirements, courses, and examinations in both programs. Student and instructor questionnaires were subjected to Chi-square, t-test analyses, and Aspin-Welch Unequal Variance t-test to measure felt equivalence. The section on divine revelation helped students grasp an evangelical view of general and special revelation.  The section of the course on hermeneutics aimed to enable students to utilize the historical-grammatical method of interpretation.  The application section put the previous material to work in assessing the basic claims of five groups: the Pentecostal-Charismatic movement, the New Age movement, Roman Catholicism, Islam, and humanism. The central thesis of this study is that there is an organic connection between text and sermon at the level of form.  Throughout the study it is assumed that form and content are inseparable but distinguishable. All these men are working to fulfill academic requirements for denominational ordination in a four-year program using the theological education by extension approach. In measurements made over a six-month period, both attitudinal and cognitive changes were noted in the men.
