It looked at how they changed as a result of that practice.  The Christian spiritual participation profile was used to measure the balance of and depth of participation in: their experience with God, their critical reflection of culture and self, their interaction with God's Word, and their relationship with others. The coaching helped participants do evangelism consistent with their approach to working with others as indicated by the DISC Classic Personal Profile System 2800. Quantitative and qualitative measures were used. Coaching sessions focused on current personal evangelism efforts of the participants. Two projects of home repair were secured with 33 people participating and 19 serving as a comparison group. Both groups received identical training and completed a Likert scale pretest and posttest questionaire. Pretest and posttest data from the Sex-Role Egalitarian Scale (SRES) and the Chinese Dyadic Adjustment Scale (C-DAS) indicated that the seminar was associated with an increase in mutual understanding and self awareness but was not correlated with the overall C-DAS score. Couple's gender ideology agreement and ministry compatibility are found to be correlated with the C-DAS score. Interviews and scaled response statements were employed to assess changes throughout the process. The results indicated that developmentally based performance reviews did generate improved job clarity and aligned staff members with the church vision. However, improved satisfaction with personal development was not supported. Evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum couples completed the Dyadic Adjustment scale, the Confidence Scale, the Relationship Scale, and the Marital Satisfaction Inventory, Revised.
