Based on research in Psalms scholarship, poetics, speech, homiletics, and theology, the project devises preaching strategies appropriate to the genre in order to prepare, present, and evaluate response to five propositional and five genre-sensitive sermons. Research identifies regional planning deficiencies among northeast Brazilian evangelicals. Training compensates by emphasizing group decision-making and problem-solving models oriented to church planting and leadership needs, especially dedicated to Vacation Missionary Projects (Promifé).  Research follows biblical-theological lines, using narrative passages of both testaments.  Theoretical investigation includes leadership, management, planning, education, church planting, training through coaching and small group dynamics.  Qualitative growth is observed among students. The uses the same instructors, entrance requirements, courses, and examinations in both programs. Student and instructor questionnaires were subjected to Chi-square, t-test analyses, and Aspin-Welch Unequal Variance t-test to measure felt equivalence.
