The problems of cultural collision, however, were not anticipated.  The impact of this collision produced broken relations within the fellowship of the church. This study sought to discover the extent of the undesirable situation and to propose viable solutions to counteract this brokenness in the fellowship of the church. Library research on the Filipinos in Hawaii, exegetical works on selected biblical passages, and community and pastors' surveys were done.  The evaluation of the survey of Kalihi Baptist Church indicated that the English-speaking members preferred an integrated Filipino congregation.  The non-English speaking Filipinos preferred to have their own services. Pastors and staff of the Hawaii Baptist Convention want to see homogenous Filipino congregations.
