This project used action and qualitative method research through pre- and post-project questionnaires, an observation during a one-day retreat, and select reflections from spiritual direction sessions. It reports findings, gained through focused interviews conducted by the pastor, that many participants had never established a relationship with the Christ, felt it was of little or no importance, and had related to confirmation as a rite of passage or graduation from Sunday school.
