Therefore, the focus of this project is to establish mentoring relationships to help get young people involved, especially in leadership roles where they can contribute to the church. This was accomplished by developing an integrated discipleship strategy for young people, parents, and senior citizens to collaborate on biblical mandates and other resources to transform all of their lives spiritually. Resources included literary research, youth minister interviews, and two decades of youth ministry experience. The project was intentionally designed for the growth of both the mentor and the student.  The project utilized learner-centered mentoring to accomplish the project's purpose.  In this mentoring paradigm the responsibility for the learning experience is shared as a means to deepen the spiritual lives of college students and utilize the influence of each mentor. The project was structured around training sessions, weekly meetings, and follow-up sessions. Since hip-hop culture with its music core values are consistent with postmodern generational values, it was deemed useful as a model to identify some key principles and methods for outreach ministry. This project began with one month of leadership training workshops to prepare the church for this ministry. Following this were two months of bi-weekly hip-hop worship services and hip-hop outing to various hip-hop events.
