During this 8-week project, students engaged in personal and communal spiritual grwoth activities using various technologies including Samford's learning management system, synchronous videoconferencing, text-based mobile applications, and a Christian video repository.  This project resulted in 50 percent of participants showing evidence toward attaining outcomes, which exceeded the goal of 33 percent. The theoretical presuppositions for the project are the homogeneous unit principle which facilitates evangelistic efforts by forming a bridge between the church and the students from Hong Kong at the University, and the friendship evangelism principle that can bring them closer to the church to embark on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  There will be banquet-talk programs arranged for the students to familiarize them with the American lifestyle, and to provide a forum for socializing between the students and congregants to achieve Christian fellowship. The church will then enlist its own members to host students from Hong Kong and to provide assistance to these foreign students during their short stay in our community. The participants engaged in three foci designed to develop their spirituality: personal spiritual disciplines, individual spiritual direction with the project director, and a weekly meeting that included group spiritual direction.  The weekly meetings also introduced the students to alternative spiritual exercises which the project director encouraged the participants to practice. The church staff and a college worker analyzed the college ministry, interviewed students, and studied a questionnaire to identify needs of students.  From this study the leaders developed a college program involving each organization of the church.  The project made the leadership more aware of students' needs. The method of this project is enlisting, training, and sending out a select group of fraternity and sorority students to initiate small group Bible studies within those students' specific Greek organizations.
