After developing a Church Polity Statement and Ministry Handbook for the church, a training seminar was developed to help members understand their unique shape for ministry and either find an appropriate place of ministry within the church or deepen their commitment to ownership in their current place of service. The project employed a seven-step process including the recruitment and commitment of team members; the pre-testing and post-testing of them to gauge their knowledge of and commitment to church planting; and training and dialogue sessions on the theology of church planting and theoretical presuppositions. Relationships are essential to the proper maturation and growth of an individual. Unfortunately, at-risk youth fail to experience positive, nurturing connections with significant adults in their lives.  Mentors have a valuable opportunity to demonstrate to a young person these lacking qualities through an intimate relationship of mutual trust.  This project focuses on leading a group of adults through the beginning stages of forming a mentoring relationship with a young person susceptible to self-deprecating behavior without intervention. The project was motivated in large part by the lack of attention to the arts in conservative, evangelical churches in America.  Two groups from such a church, Circleville First Baptist Church in Ohio, completed this seven-session study in early 2004.  Simultaneously, the author preached a sermon series utilizing art entitled Finding Beauty in the Bible. The process will make use of a small task force, a congregational survey, and approval by the congregation. In the midst of ethnic, cultural, and denominational diversity, core values can be one of the primary forces in building unity. Shared core values will be key tools when confronting divisive issues, future directions and evaluating existing structures and programs. The project used a pastor focus group to collect information and identify attitudes, to which the evangelism team responded with implications and recommendations.
