and inclusion, especially those surrounded by immigrant communities flourishing with non-Christian religions. It relates the journey of an established white congregation reaching out to its diverse neighbors with Christ's love and bringing them into its fellowship. It describes five phases during those 10 years, each with its respective challenges and breakthroughs. With 1.2 billion people who belong to 4,693 ethnic groups and speak more than 400 languages it still is home to the largest number of unreached people groups in the world. The greatest need that the Indian church faces in the 21st century is for large numbers of dedicated and well-trained servant-leaders to serve the existing congregations and to reach the remaining unreached people groups and languages with the gospel. It is widely recognized that the prevalent dominant paradigm of training has many weaknesses that are adversely affecting the health of the church. This study looks at the ministries of a modality and sodality (Christian Evangelistic Assemblies and Bharat Susamachar Samiti/New Theological College) that have been closely working together with some success for more than two decades in northern India to learn principles that might help to alleviate these weaknesses. At first we briefly look at the history of the church and theological education in India. Then we look at the way the modality and sodality have worked together. The author conducted interviews, implemented Kevin Ford's Transforming Church Index, and developed a small group Bible study exploring these principles. The results revealed the need to develop a greater awareness of evangelism and discipleship, while focusing on elements of Celtic monastic principles already in place. The church must build upon strengths shared with the Celtic monastic communities to be more effective with evangelism and discipleship. The area of discipleship used to test this means of teaching was evangelism.  Each online class session included video teaching and follow-up questions that were answered in an online forum. The outcome of the study was determined by comparing the results of each participant's pre-test and post-test. This collaboration or clustering for mission and outreach, enables declining small churches to pool their resources so that in working together in both local and global outreach, they can reclaim their missional call.  This thesis-project demonstrates that after a season of study, discussion and fellowship together, church leaders realize that working together in mission will enable them to do together what they could not do alone.  This thesis-project presents the process, procedures, and study guides used in leading three small membership churches in a six week study of the missional church.
