Yet, despite its central location in the Bible's life and praxis, it remains in many churches today undervalued or ignored in the discipleship process. This thesis explores the implications of biblical hospitality and centers theme within a local church's discipleship process. The goal is to change participants' perspectives on their own role as hospitable disciples participating in the Great Commission. The method of research included comparing pre- and post-survey data. The purpose of this project was to discover the importance of space in a church's ministry of hospitality. Twenty-four persons from the congregation attended a six-week course during which they completed four assessments that were designed to measure their knowledge and skills in offering hospitality and evaluating the quality of the church's place for extending hospitality.
