The goal of designing a holistic discipleship model is to enable Christians to understand more fully and practice more intentionally the true nature of God's reign which we have been called to witness and serve, which is the redemption of all creation. The chapters build toward the development of a curriculum designed to offer every disciple a deeper biblical understanding of God's reign, a clear process of growth consistent with this holistic redemptive biblical vision, and a set of right practices to follow in each dimension of growth, regardless of the participant's particular sense of vocation. A storied, church-based biblical theology of R \u0026 D traces the themes of God, His people, and His land through the scripture. The thesis is developed that the kingdom advances over the earth through the apostolic establishment of new kingdom communities, who function with a kingdom economics, i.e., kingdom outposts.  Kingdom outposts are the locus of R \u0026 D.  Haiti suffers extreme poverty in spite of decades of evangelism and conventional R \u0026 D. The kingdom offers an alternative paradigm in contrast to established evangelical forms grounded in human wisdom and understanding.  Through biblical paradigms and statistical research, the author describes the condition of early 21st-century American Christianity.  Through the use of systems thinking and cultural diagnosis he defines what he terms the 'seven deadly D's' of American church life.  The kingdom of God is presented as the only theological systemic approach to remedy these maladies.  This work is unique in its pastoral perspective, narrative style, and cognitive processing. Understanding the kingdom and learning to live and lead within a kingdom framework will equip many evangelical pastors, leaders, and laypeople to progress from personal burnout toward a more hopeful position. The significance of this work is in recovering the kingdom of God as the necessary biblical corrective to modern evangelical leadership formation and church practice.  This includes implications for the rethinking of evangelicalism, a new approach to theology, and the formation of multidimensional leadership.  This will assist 21st-century Christian leaders in dealing with complexity, diversity, changing spiritual paradigms, and interdenominational unity.
