It is a program both spiritual and instructional in character designed to enhance an awareness of God's presence and to encourage theological reflection through Christian education and shared ministry.  Its goal is to relate human activities, ambitions, and purposes with God's purpose for humankind. While the lectures in the program deal with an analysis of this goal, the bulk of the project is devoted to case studies to encourage participants to work actively on everyday issues, employing the Anglican tools of scripture, reason, and tradition. It uses the pastoral search inventory prepared by Hartford Seminary as a tool to determine the church's identity, interactions, linkages and expectations of a new ministry.  The project includes an analysis of interim ministry, a history of the church under study, group process design and guidelines for the interim pastor serving during a time of transition.  This project is a case study.
