Applied to the context are congregational studies findings in regard to endowed churches, and a biblical studies component in examining the resources of faith. Techniques used were the pastor's home visits and family dialogue which invited family members to write and share notes on topics they agreed to discuss.  The pastor made one home visit before the ceremony of confirmation and the second visit afterwards.  The information gleaned from these conversations shed light on the inner life of the families, their systems, traditions, hurts and hopes.
