This ministry project is based on the premise that most religious leaders generally use dated statistical materials, life changing stories, and personal experiences to raise awareness on the subject.The result of this ministry project (through personal interviews and questionnaires) discovered that religious leaders understand the Gift Exchange only in relation to the exchanging of personal gifts on special occasions and holidays.  Thus, the conclusion gathered from this ministry project suggests that the Theory of Gift Exchange is an excellent pastoral model to educate about organ donation and organ transplantation. This project proposes that the class-leader system can be a viable part of the AME Church, but it must be modified and shaped into a contemporary mechanism for ministry.  Lack of training of class leaders in Allen Chapel AME Church, Northampton County, North Carolina, proved to be the rule rather than the exception. The church was thereby rendered ineffective in its ministry. The project seeks practical ways to equip class leaders of Allen Chapel AME Church for effective ministry by formulating and administering a training program for class leaders. It exposes and addresses the relationship between themes, issues and problems of the congregation.  The dissertation presupposes that the factions of the congregation are manifestations of factions in families that make up the membership.  The problems that are unresolved in families show up in interpersonal relationships in the church family.  The biblical narrative model used the favorite stories of a test group of caregivers, such as favorite Bible stories, favorite fairy tales and stories heard from visitations to discover disruptive themes in their personal narratives. The results of this dissertation answer, in part, the search of a pastor for ways to address the pastoral needs of four lay persons as these persons are being trained to give care to other members of the congregation. This work was done for the sole purpose of inspiring clergy and laity to honor the mandate of our Lord (Matthew 28:19-20) to enter the field of evangelism.  The method of study and research was to investigate the norms of evangelism: biblical, theological and empirical perspectives.  After research we practiced evangelism.  The various approaches taken gave opportunities for ministry beyond expectations.  The results were astronomical. This case study involves congregational self-appraisal, interpretation of data, goal setting, program and ministry development, lay leadership empowerment, and the importance of educational ministries in bringing about transformation.  The findings of this study revealed that strategies for change take place through a combination of factors. The purpose of this research project, therefore, is to provide a thorough analysis of the system of categories engaged in the preparation of a subject approach to indexing the JITC.  These categories include inquiry into the 'theologies of liberation,' 'indexing principles,' 'descriptors,' and 'computer-assisted indexing.'
