However, the health of the church has always been a major challenge for its growth. The pastoral ministry of the church is the key to a healthy church: the church cannot be truly healthy unless each of its individuals is. This dissertation explores how the church can integrate the three pastoral approaches of Pastoral Care and Counseling, Inner Healing, and Spiritual Formation to build an effective pastoral ministry. The research of this study is completed through quantitative analysis. If the church follows the methodology of enterprise management, the church will gradually become a secular non-profit organization. At the same time, the church has its own spiritual mission, and needs to be managed according to the Bible and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, does the church still need to employ the enterprise management concepts? Some people uphold that the church needs to incorporate the elements of enterprise management; however, some argue that the enterprise management methodologies will restrict the leading of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, there have been some great controversies in the area of church management. We see Jesus display God's heart through Luke 4:16-21 of the New Testament. By God's power and anointing, Jesus spreads the heavenly gospel to display that Christ is the Messiah and also God and thus fulfilling Isaiah 61:1-3. After Jesus rose again and ascended into Heaven, the disciples gathered in Jerusalem to await the promised Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples during the Pentecost, bringing them authority and enabling them to proclaim the heavenly gospel throughout the nations. By Christ's great power, many people received healing and deliverance. This research also includes the deductions made by experts on this subject and personal experiences in ministry to analyze the probable method that 'healing and deliverance' will be valued and utilized by churches to shepherd their people. The research methodology is as follows.  First of all the literary analysis of narrative forms will be explained.  Since the Book of Ruth is of the story type, exegesis of this book through the narrative form seems to be a very good method used.  Then, the elements of narrative are used in interpreting the Book of Ruth.  Finally, we will explain how to apply the life stories of the main characters as told in the analyzed narrative of the Book of Ruth to the situations people confront today. The thesis has two parts. The first part has two chapters. It begins with the study of characters of the Bible, which points to a holistic view of man. Next is the study of sin, which is split into the guilt of sin and the shamefulness of sin. This sinfulness will cause people to live in bondage, oppression, and blindness. The second part of the thesis has three chapters, covering Jesus' ministry on earth. It first analyzes how he proclaims freedom for the prisoners, recovers sight foe the blind, and releases the oppressed. Then, this is paralleled to the situation which modern man lives in. Next, it discusses how the pastoral staff brings people to the goal of holistic redemption. Finally, it recommends that when the pastoral staff is leading believers, they should establish a people-oriented shepherding team-ministry that provides an environment for holistic redemption. It also recommends that they should establish the structure of a believer's life with small group ministries and with worship ministries.
