The project includes biblically based sermons and the hearer's description of the effect of ministry on their lives. The author employs the principle of dialogue in communication to substantiate this conclusion.  He supplements the use of this principle with a theology of revelation and with the word of God.  Paramount to this principle of dialogue is self-disclosure, which is made possible through the mutual sharing of meanings from the life experiences of both the proclaimer and the hearer. The thesis develops two models of preaching with sermons illustrating both models. The collaborative preaching model was adopted, with some slight modifications, as the project model.
