All boards and committees are disbanded. Team leaders administer spiritual-gifts inventories to discover resources of lay people and employ them in meaningful service. The project first establishes what orthodox inmate Islam is and how it is influenced by Afrocentrism. With orthodox Islam as a guide, the Moorish Science of America and the Nation of Islam are then analyzed on the same basis. African American inmate Islam is a mixture of beliefs and movements that make it difficult to define as Islam. Afrocentric influence leads to mistrust, anger, fear, and resentment of European Americans.
