Preaching that is hierarchical, filled with imperatives, and lacking in dialogue no longer communicates in the changing context of the postmodern world. Preaching can be invitational through collaborative formation of sermons, through language that is intentionally invitational, and through presentation that is invitational in style. This thesis delineates the evolution of the Emmanuel Korean Church from its inception to its present state. Research involved studying both the changed context in which the church now ministers and ways a congregation can expand its understanding of evangelism. The project looked at several of the components that undergird a congregation of evangelists: organizational structure, ability to name and proclaim the good news, and creation of opportunities to interact with neighbors.
