With the assumption that knowledge and understanding of another's experiences generally diminishes negative feelings and prejudices, this project employed the Scale of Ethnocultural Empathy (SEE) created by Dr. Yu-Wei Wang as a pre- and post-test. Tests measured participants' attitudes toward people of different ethnic origin and cultures than their own. When Christians gather as an interpretive community of faith to examine culture and relate the significance of the Bible to their life situation, ethnic Christian assertions of belief and practice can be formulated.  Methodology for the task of ethnic theologizing involves the examination of a given people group by Christians within that group deriving theological statments from key informant descriptions of traditional beliefs and practices and biblical truths related to the same subject matter. This preaching project made use of study sessions to introduce concepts such as the apocalyptic genre, Christ-culture models, and the confessing church theme. Pre- and post-tests and listening team questionnaires provided measurement of attitudes toward the literature and the issue of Christians relating to culture.
