The study to validate this thesis was conducted in three Central America countries (Guatemala, Honduras, and Costa Rica) with active pastors and ministerial students.  Seminars, workshops, and seminary courses were used to group pastors and students together.  Questionnaires were handed out to participants to measure their knowledge about chaplaincy ministries. The chaplain's job performance was introduced as a model to illustrate another way in carrying out the ministry. Key goals included the identification of the seasons of the Christian year and their implications for discipleship and the enhancement of learning through coordination of adult curriculum lessons and sermons. The desired results would be a larger number of persons saved and baptized in our church, resulting in church growth.  Before the crusade a telephone survey was conducted, with cards and visits.  The crusade was a success but the retention was terrible.  The people of Antioch Baptist Church worked harder than ever before in evangelism and saw many make professions of faith.  However, 95 percent of those who made professions of faith are no longer attending. In addition to several years service as a volunteer chaplain, the author completed the Missouri basic law enforcement class and was accepted as a member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains, and endorsed by the Home Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Hispanics city dwellers were surveyed, English as a second language teachers were trained in surveying and action-reflection.  Hispanic residents were surveyed as to their primary language, education levels, occupations in their native country and in USA. Teachers participated in an action-reflection process as they interacted with Hispanic students and residents. Each spiritual gift was presented through workshops, questionnaires, interviews, small group discussions, pre- and post-spiritual gifts survey, computerized and self-scoring individual spiritual gifts inventory.  This study definitely changed the attitude and increased the awareness of different motivational gifts. It showed that high scores on spiritual gift tendencies may indicate a developed gift, but not necessarily the primary motivational gift.
