My surveys, after analysis, determined the leadership expectations of the organization's parishioners and the pastors' knowledge of leadership pre- and post-seminar.  My research described situational leadership model and biblical principles of leadership.  I synthesized both models to achieve the 'synthetic leadership paradigm' and compared the situational leadership to Diokpara leadership legacy.  The project was taught in a seminar. How will the church respond to the needs of this ever-increasing population, or should it?  The intent of this project is two-fold.  First, to contribute a launching point for those who wish to begin a program.  Second, to provide recommendations for the varied possibilities in curriculum and religious education of adults with mental disabilities in the local parish.  A study was made of the literature available concerning the theological underpinnings, curriculum and current programs. Our shift from the right to the left socially and theologically has had a profound impact on the use of the intinerate evangelist at the end of the 20th century.  A survey instrument was used to determine the validity of this thesis.  The survey did not prove this thesis but did indicate the declining use of the itinerate evangelist. It compares its findings with the Wesleyan movement of the 18th century in Great Britain, and finds points of convergence.  The study results in a lexicon in which much-used terms and expressions in the period under investigation are identified and explained in the context of Nadere Reformatie holiness and Wesleyan holiness. This dissertation examines current literature on Christian corporate worship as well as literature describing current cultural characteristics in the United States.  A six-week series of worship services was conducted incorporating the results of the study.  The services are then evaluated to determine if they have been culturally sensitive and ministry-effective.
