A survey instrument was created using The Baptist Faith and Message and a panel of experts who possessed a broad range of educational and practical experience. The survey consisted of eighty-eight statements to which participants indicated their agreement or disagreement. The results raised concern regarding the doctrinal knowledge of Baptists. A seminar was facilitated to develop each participant's cognitive, affective, and behavioral readiness for ministry.  The goals of this project were to research resources relatd to preparing for God's call, to develop teaching materials to assist students in developing a vision to carry out God's call, and to equip students to carry out their call to Christian ministry.  A paired-sample T-Test was calculated to compare the mean pretest score to the mean post-test score. A volunteer group of Black males who had overcome their alienation was used to help members of the target group to do the same.
