To identify and define parenting principles, the descriptive and historical methods of research were used. Selected parents participated in an eight-week training seminar.  Experimental and descriptive methodology was the basis of pretest/posttest evaluation of a control and experimental group.  Statistical analysis indicated the experimental group demonstrated significant levels of change after the training.  The participants continued in a seven-week seminar to design a program for applying the parenting principles. Descriptive survey methodology and simple statistical evaluations were used with an experimental group.
