The first goal was to increase my knowledge in the field of biblical integration. The project had four goals. The first goal was to discover the critical issues for revitalizing the Sunday school by surveying selected Hispanic churches and interpreting the results. The second goal was to determine the best practices for revitalizing Sunday school by review of Sunday school growth principles. The third goal was the development of a Sunday school revitalization strategy for Hispanic churches in the Baptist Convention of New Mexico with the assistance of a selected strategy development team. The final goal was the validation of the strategy by three small groups of selected pastors and leaders of Hispanic Baptist churches in the state. First, the project director researched spiritual disciplines and effective methods used in teaching children. Second, he developed a course to train selected parents in these discipleship skills. Third, he implemented the course by training selected parents.  Participants attended five sessions on selected disciplines, and they took a pre-test and post-test to aid in evaluation. Research from an annotated bibliography provided the resources for development of lesson plans in order to equip the selected group. The equipping included sessions that both explored and defined the concept of relationship-driven ministry. Deacons selected were asked to participate in three sessions equaling seven hours. These sessions included study of both Old and New Testament passages of Scripture supporting the concept of relationship-driven ministry. The result was the formulation of a functioning and practical team-equipping process that focused on risk management. The project began by researching risk management. Upon completion of the research phase, the project director developed a curriculum of complete lesson plans and teaching material consisting of four training sessions to equip the team on risk management. The participants were evaluated before, during and after the study. The project included research of the spiritual discipline of prayer and contemporary spiritual formation methodologies.  This research led to the design, administration, and evaluation of training sessions with the selected leaders.  Training included seven weekly didactic sessions on various dimensions of individual and corporate prayer, with additional assignments between sessions.  Participants assessed assigned readings  and maintained a journal throughout the process with assigned entries germane to the subject matter.  An eighth and final session assessed the participants' mastery of the subject matter and summarized the project material. The intent of this process was to equip the participants to lead the embryonic congregation in the arena of prayer, fostering a culture in which prayer is understood, valued, and practiced.
