The project explored research in the field of prayer; constructed an distributed a survey to determine the beliefs and practices of Tupelo Christian Preparatory High School students related to prayer; led a workshop for a select group of students, parents, and faculty in the formulation of a prayer strategy; developed a multimedia presentation of the prayer strategy; and led the strategy team to prepare for a presentation to the Tupelo Christian Preparatory School Board for consideration. The evaluation methods for this project included expert opinions in the researched sources, the development of a prayer survey, the training materials, the formation of the strategy, and the presentation methods used for the strategy. The project included research of the spiritual discipline of prayer and contemporary spiritual formation methodologies.  This research led to the design, administration, and evaluation of training sessions with the selected leaders.  Training included seven weekly didactic sessions on various dimensions of individual and corporate prayer, with additional assignments between sessions.  Participants assessed assigned readings  and maintained a journal throughout the process with assigned entries germane to the subject matter.  An eighth and final session assessed the participants' mastery of the subject matter and summarized the project material. The intent of this process was to equip the participants to lead the embryonic congregation in the arena of prayer, fostering a culture in which prayer is understood, valued, and practiced. The program included training lessons to equip a prayer group and activities to involve the church.  The historical method was used to gather data on the theology of prayer.  The descriptive survey method was used to gather data on prayer ministries and prayer for missions.  The director gave pretests and posttests to evaluate changes in the group's attitudes and changes in the church's behavior.
