The project produces a clear definition of authentic, biblical manhood and lays a foundation for a successful ministry to men. Through research, biblical competencies of ministry to men are identified, a strategic plan to initiate men's ministry is developed, and a men's ministry leadership retreat is planned and implemented with a select group of men. By utilizing the research and considering the unique culture of Perdido Bay Baptist Church, a curriculum is developed for the weekend men's leadership retreat. The project director gathered and analyzed demographics information to more effectively understand the general composition of the population of the city of Sheffield, Alabama, and its surrounding communities. The project director explored the biblical models for evangelism and church growth found in the Bible, gathering resources to provide the strategic planning team with the necessary scriptural and historical support. Next, the project director interviewed pastors and church leaders whose churches are experiencing significant growth in areas with cultural and demographic similarities to that of York Terrace Baptist Church. Finally, utilizing the resources gathered, the project director and a strategic planning team developed an evangelistic, church-growth plan for York Terrace Baptist Church. The curriculum for the weekend highlighted five disciplines that would be most useful for worship leaders: worship, Bible intake, prayer, solitude and silence, and service.  The project director used various learning methods to train these worship leaders in the five disciplines.  During the five sessions of the equipping workshop, the worship leaders practiced the spiritual disciplines. To accomplish this the project director first conducted research in the area of spiritual formation. From this research he identified six spiritual disciplines that he deemed essential to effective spiritual formation, namely Scripture intake, prayer, worship, confession, service, and witness. He then created a curriculum comprised of seven sessions, covering the concept of discipline and each of the six identified spiritual disciplines. He implemented the curriculum in six one-hour meetings of the course of six weeks. The project director aspired to engage local churches to reach and disciple single adults in a manner relevant to their ministry setting. As single adult ministries have waned, few models exist to reach the population in an adaptable way with local church environments, and this project addressed that need. The project director researched the state of single's ministry in the United States. In this research the project director conducted two major approaches to study. Fastest growing churches in America and a sample of Southern Baptist Churches were contacted for survey.
