The training sessions addressed the following issues: understanding the emotional system of the church, positioning leaders to address conflict, analysis of the conflict through the five levels of conflict, analysis of the conflict through roles and communication study, communication skills, dealing with the problematic, and specific skills training for resolution of conflict. In order to accomplish the goals of this project, the project director researched the topic of leadership and identified various skills of servant leadership. From the skills identified, the director identified two and researched them further: 'the character of a servant leader' and 'the vision of a servant leader.' The project consisted of a leadership workshop made up of five one-hour sessions given over a perios of Friday evening through Saturday morning. The first session was an introduction to servant leadership. In sessions two and three, about the character of a servant leader, the focus was on the skills of humility, values, and integrity.
