The project director developed a training curriculum. He enlisted recruitment team members, know as 'connection coaches,' for six training sessions. The connection coaches learned about spiritual gifts, personality temperments, natural abilities, and best practices for helping members become involved in ministry. After the training, connection coaches accepted an assignment to contact a specific new member. He or she facilitated that new member's enlistment into a ministry position. Objective evaluators in the fields of curriculum development and lay ministry recruitment evaluated the project director's growth.
