The project director researched demographics, interviewed national pastors and international missionaries, studied cultural nuances, and accumulated other data in order to understand the cultural and religious context in which a new church would be planted. From this collected data, the project director developed a strategy that involved the usage of a team approach to planting a new church. The International Mission Board regional leadership for Brazil decided to delay any action on the strategy developed for this project because of logistical problems related to the fact that the region was in the midst of a major transition. The Eastern and Western South America Regions were joined to form the South American Region. A seminar was facilitated to develop each participant's cognitive, affective, and behavioral readiness for ministry.  The goals of this project were to research resources relatd to preparing for God's call, to develop teaching materials to assist students in developing a vision to carry out God's call, and to equip students to carry out their call to Christian ministry.  A paired-sample T-Test was calculated to compare the mean pretest score to the mean post-test score. The curriculum was developed based on the words of Jesus, 'Follow me and I will make you become fishers of men' (Mk. 1:17 NAS).  The selected believers participated in the developed six-week discipleship study that contained two weeks on following Jesus, two weeks on Jesus' conforming the believer and two weeks on the Christian's responsibility in soul winning.  The study included group meetings followed by daily, individual lessons, Monday through Friday.  The participants were evaluated before, during, and after the study.
