The process of purpose definition and strategy development involved studying the mission of the church, evaluationg the effectiveness of the church's ministry, and identifying church and community needs.  The leaders defined the church's mission and composed a purpose statement for Whispering Pines.  The work group identififed the Sudnay School organization as the primary base for ministry. A suggested seminar utilizing the storying model to address the postmodern worldview with the biblical worldview is included. Demonstrating an improved understanding of conflict, improving existing styles and skills of conflict management, and developing strategies that facilitate reconciliation were the goals of this project.  The project methodology included lectures, discussion, role plays, case studies, and questionnaires on conflict management. Examination of post-evaluation data indicates goals were reached. In order to do this, the project director researched sermons and created a sermon model. The project directory created eight part model sermons to his congregation during Sunday worship. A group of experts assessed the model sermons and their assessments were used to determine the sermons’ effect and reach. From the research and assessments the project director was able to find the key factors of sermon skills and made a plan to improve sermon skills. He also looked at the before and after of the congregation’s spiritual awareness to find changes and made that the focus of his results. The project looks carefully at the mainline and subculture socio-demographics of Pasco County, mapping the possible Third-Place encounter points and assigning them to districts. By hermeneutically creating cultural narratives of each district, churches can train personnel cross-culturally to enter these Third-Place setting with gospel fluency contextualized to a culture or subculture. The strategy model described in the current edition of The Project in Ministry Design Handbook of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary was utilized for this project report. Additional purposes of this project were to develop and accomplish project goals and professional goals to strengthen the project director’s strategy development and professional leadership. The project director researched local demographics and cultural dynamics of the Lakeview community to determine ministry tartes for multiethnic church growth. Existing models of churches that include all culture and ethnicities were then explored to determine best practices. The project director completed the project by meeting three primary objectives. The first objective was to research the field of church member assimilation to determine essential skills needed. The second objective was to develop a training curriculum to equip selected leaders with assimilation skills. The final objective was to equip selected leaders of Fellowship of Montgomery in essential assimilation skills. The project director enlisted several experts in various areas to evaluate goals. He employed assessment instruments, including pretest, posttest, rubrics, reports, and an annotated bibliography, to evaluate the product and outcomes.
