The project director developed curriculum based on seven interpersonal relationship skills which research for the project revealed as key to promoting healthy team dynamics. The project director expanded these interpersonal relationship skills into a training curriculum and enlisted and trained a group of leaders in a workshop held over four weeks. The project director selected the equipping model as her template. The components of this project include the following: (1) the research of faith transmission between grandparents and grandchildren with prayer as a tool for faith transmission; (2) the designing of a curriculum to equip selected grandparents in prayer skills to promote faith transmission to their grandchildren; and (3) the conducting of a series of lessons to equip selected grandparents in prayer skills to promote faith transmission. The discipleship director assembled a strategy leadership team from among the members of the church for the purpose of crafting a strategy for the context of First Baptist Church. The strategy was completed and presented to the church in a regular business session. The first phase of the project involved research to identify the competencies essential to leading sermon-based small groups in the Cornerstone Community Church context for the purpose of disipleship. The research included extensive reading as well as interviewing multiple ministry leaders experienced in the field of sermon-based small groups. The second phase of the project synthesized the research to produce a curriculum designed to equip small group leaders with the competencies identified. In the final phase of the project selected small group leaders from Cornerstone Community Church were equipped with the essential competencies to lead sermon-based small groups. The first step in the process if equipping selected members with these skills was to research the topics of prayer and evangelism as well as the relationship between them. From this research, the project director identified essential evengelistic prayer skills and developed a seminar curriculum to teach these skills. He explored strategy development and evangelism. The long-range planning committee developed the evangelistic strategy through a series of development sessions.
