Second, the project director examined other models of associational strategy planning to synthesize best practices of associational strategy planning. Third, the project director facilitated a selected group of leaders from the District Eight Baptist Convention in developing a strategy for the convention. Equipping married couples in developing healthy communication skills through the use of cognitive, affective and psychomotor activities was the overarching goal of this project.  The communicative growth made by each couple was manifested through the successful results revealed by their own admission as well as external evaluation.  The project methodology showed that marital communication skills can be affected positively through practical teaching, personal examination, and purposeful training. First, the project director researched demographics surrounding the church to determine the ethnic diversity and trends of the community. Third, he enlisted a Strategic Planning Team from the church staff and leadership to develop a strategy model and action plans for reaching multiethnic unity. Finally, the project director presented the final product to selected church committees and teams for approval.
