Thus, biography and autobiography may effectively be used to encourage theological reflection by adults in the church. The project includes a survey of the literature of narrative theology (with particular attention to Stroup, Hauerwas and McClendon) and a discussion of hermeneutical problems. The author proposes a four-step method for biographical theology, and applies it to group studies of the life stories of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and C S Lewis. After reading many books and materials in the fields of evangelism and pastoral care, the author established criteria that would give the program integrity, both theologically and practically.  He established the need through personal evaluation and a survey, and then developed the training program and relayed the dynamics of the training sessions. The pastor achieved this by appointing four committees.  The history committee looked into how the church grew by caring in the past.  The theology committee delved into the biblical and theological bases for caring.  The community committee studied the community and its need for caring. The planning committee then took the work of the other three committees and developed three to five years of caring plans. The project develops exegetical and historical perspectives of spiritual gifts and devises a strategy for church growth utilizing spiritual gifts.  Participants identified their spiritual gifts by participating in a spiritual gifts workshop.  The workshop divided participants into two ministry groups and facilitated their exercising those gifts in ministry.  A church growth committee, comprised of persons with the gift of administration, developed plans for growth.  Gifted participants, possessing other spiritual gifts, made those plans a reality. The purpose of the project was to make the transition from pastor-led to lay-led AIG groups as an ongoing strategy for evangelism in the local church.  The goals of the project were achieved by the following: 1) prepared a paper on the theology of evangelism reflecting the author's interaction with others in the field; 2) formed three pilot lay-led groups; 3) trained six couples; 4) prepared necessary assessment instruments; and 5) kept journal describing feelings and reflections. Against this backdrop, this study focused on incorporating youth in the life and mission of the St Thomas Assembly of God.  To facilitate this, adults and adolescents were called upon to recognize their weaknesses and seek for harmony.  Adults must be engaged in mission for, by, and with youth and never fail to recognize them as a part of the people of God. Through the process of mediation, stereotyped images of who victim and offenders are will be broken down; mutual agreement as what should be done about the offense can be reached; and reconciliation can occur.
