Using ten years of educational practice as its research base the study examines the social-political and theological consciousness of undergraduates, compares that consciousness with the development of eschatology since Vatican II and develops a praxis education model for undergraduate theological education. It explores the Pacific island world, analyzes the academic institution and the ecumenical community at the Pacific Theological College, and discusses the kinds of thinking that can be nurtured in the classroom. The project is a disciplined reflection on, and evaluation of, the author's experience in teaching courses in Pacific studies, Christian education, and worship.
