Over a six-week period the project guides a small group of 10 adults from Lumberton, North Carolina, in a process of group dialogue that moves them to reflect on adolescent experiences and Christian faith. The assumption that underlies the project is that if teachers can experience intersection between personal story, personal experience, the biblical story, and faith community experience, to tell one will be to tell the other.  As a result, the Bible will become biographical, which makes it easier to communicate.  Teaching then will be discernibly different in the church education experience.  The project was a six-week teacher education experience for mid-high teachers that utilized denominational materials as the primary resource. Howard Clinebell's growth therapy is found to be uniquely appropriate to Groome's concepts.  Critical life issues are examined in shared praxis workshops.  Participants are counseling clients experiencing depression and low self-worth, along with local church members who desire to work on these issues.  There are observed attitude and behavioral changes for both clients and non-clients.
