The results of this study will be presented to key members of the First United Methodist Church of Duncanville, Tex, as the basis for initiating a capital fund raising campaign for a new sanctuary.  The project was conducted over a five week period through a series of informal dinner meetings. The project is limited to funding the local church, while recognizing that stewardship includes the totality of life in response to God as Creator and Redeemer. The study includes an overview of the history of church funding, an analysis of current funding programs, and a comparative inquiry of local churches, ministers and funding practices in the North Texas Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church.
