Throughout the process, the practicum observed how this concept of family could effectively function to support the participants to build a close relationship with each other and to identify themselves as part of the whole church family in a small group setting. The project was conducted for four weeks from May 22 to June 12, 2005. Fifteen people recruited from the church. The class met every Sunday from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. during the period. In the class, the participants explored the meaning of being a healthy church family in light of biblical and Korean family models and established an intimate relationship with each other. They were also encouraged to practice spiritual disciplines as daily assignments. The practicum enabled participants to identify the church as their own spiritual family and perceive one another as their brothers and sisters in Christ. Their spiritual growth has influenced other members to recognize a new movement around the church. An examination of the curriculum known as 'Disciple: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study' suggested that this Bible study would address many church renewal concerns. The practicum was designed as an evaluation of Disciple which would be accomplished through its use in the candidate's parish and a series of twenty-seven interviews. The first key finding is that Disciple is a Bible study which should be used in every local church. Members of the congregation were involved in disciplined study and living for an eleven week period.  The theological issues were: 1) the nature of the church as redemptive community; 2) Scripture as an authority for theology; 3) dangers of legalism moderated within a gospel of grace; 4) the quality of life within the small group; and 5) the difficulties of pluralism within a small group.
