The conclusions were: 1) The small group model was ineffective for church renewal but very effective in pastoral care; 2) The image of the pastor as chief teacher was reinforced; 3) The local church can allocate only a portion of its time and energy to small groups without seriously neglecting other important ministries; and 4) The local church needs more help in understanding the dynamics of human relationships."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["9d359def-dc0f-4ac7-a978-8df771bc0984"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127132485713920,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:39:03.670Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:16:21Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:31:25Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"1e544990-91fe-4e7c-96aa-ff0e93067caf","accessControl_ssim":["0abb7db6-0321-4d5d-8c34-3ce7850e2a02"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Leading a bible study: explorations in the historical-criticism method"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:16:20Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:01:32Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["e2054662-d98b-46c0-9130-108e55508c85"],"hasLease_ssim":["acacb7d6-d995-4bbf-bd85-686a5373d5c4"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["L Howard Grimes"],"year_tesim":["1981"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Thomas B Slater"],"keyword_tesim":["Bible--Authority"],"publisher_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University"],"subject_tesim":["Tradition (Theology)","Bible--Criticism, interpretation","Christian education of adults","Church work","Pastoral theology","Bible--Study"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The thesis of this project is that historical critical methodologies can play a positive role in a parish Bible study which is based upon the concept of an inclusive ministry. The project seeks to integrate a responsible concept of a doctrine of justification with Freudian psychoanalysis. The student achieved these purposes through weekly supervision of tape recordings of counseling sessions, presentation and review of case conference materials with the practicum supervisor and a Richland College psychologist, and reading books and materials related to the area of concern."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["9d359def-dc0f-4ac7-a978-8df771bc0984"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791126604715393024,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:30:40.349Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":7,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Charles William Cook","hits":1,"label":"Charles William Cook"},{"value":"Gert Murr","hits":1,"label":"Gert Murr"},{"value":"Henry L Masters","hits":1,"label":"Henry L Masters"},{"value":"M Theresa MCconnell","hits":1,"label":"M Theresa MCconnell"},{"value":"Paul F Gray","hits":1,"label":"Paul F Gray"},{"value":"Russell R Moore","hits":1,"label":"Russell R Moore"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[{"value":"Relation (Theology)","hits":2,"label":"Relation (Theology)"},{"value":"Bible--Authority","hits":1,"label":"Bible--Authority"},{"value":"Grace","hits":1,"label":"Grace"}],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Pastoral theology","hits":7,"label":"Pastoral theology"},{"value":"Bible--Study","hits":2,"label":"Bible--Study"},{"value":"Theology","hits":2,"label":"Theology"},{"value":"Adams, Jay Edward","hits":1,"label":"Adams, Jay Edward"},{"value":"African Americans","hits":1,"label":"African Americans"},{"value":"Asbury United Methodist Church (Denton, Tex)","hits":1,"label":"Asbury United Methodist Church (Denton, Tex)"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":7,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University","hits":7,"label":"Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":7,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1981","hits":3,"label":"1981"},{"value":"1990","hits":2,"label":"1990"},{"value":"1982","hits":1,"label":"1982"},{"value":"1995","hits":1,"label":"1995"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"Perkins School of Theology","hits":7,"label":"Perkins School of Theology"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":7,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Perkins School of Theology","hits":7,"label":"Perkins School of Theology"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":7,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":7,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
