I will also determine if clergy morale and the burn-out rate are directly related to whether or not one has a committed and disciplined spiritual life. The project compiles information collected from an anonymous survey distributed among local church clergy in the Central Texas Conference. The practicum/project was begun in January, 2005, after the survey had been created the previous November. Surveys were collected over a six week period and then the information was tallied over the next three months. Those completing the requested information were told verbally or in writing that it was an anonymous survey and they were not to sign it anywhere on the three-page questionnaire. The author interviewed fifty people, women and men, laypeople and seminarians, using a two-hour Life Story interview she designed.  She then led a workshop and a retreat, and drew some working conclusions on significant variables in self-concept, sexuality, and spirituality.
