He tested all participants on their perceived faith relationships with God at the beginning and the end of the instructions with a values clarification test, a diagrammed drawing project, and a self-report questionnaire. The author analyzed the statistics and noted all the signs of transformational process. Forty-two inquirers gained new values concerning others; thirty-seven inquirers acknowledged closer relationships with God in the drawings; thirty-five had some sort of religious experience."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["9d359def-dc0f-4ac7-a978-8df771bc0984"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799720671495847936,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T03:09:41.111Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:09:26Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:38:45Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"a42d9448-5081-48d4-aa0c-882aa3cba807","accessControl_ssim":["86c23945-1cee-4b8b-9b3b-ff4765a0f921"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Spiritual formation for lay ministry: an adult Christian education program"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:09:25Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:54:23Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["c943707c-2080-4d22-adff-599ce3760d77"],"hasLease_ssim":["0eb453b4-7b5c-405b-a1c5-6fc6e0c4aae5"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["John C Holbert"],"year_tesim":["1986"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Joseph M Doyle"],"keyword_tesim":["Religious surveys"],"publisher_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University"],"subject_tesim":["Spiritual formation","Christian education of adults","Lay Church work"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The project demonstrates that spiritual formation, based on a prayerful study of Biblical personalities, provides necessary and adequate preparation for lay ministry. Dialogue is appropriate because the basic theme of the Bible is God's passion for reconciliation and dialogue is a means of reconciliation. A report on a dialogue between members of a Uniited Methodist church and a Jewish congregation shows that an adaptation of Thomas Groome's 'shared praxis' approach to religious education is effective for people in various stages of faith who are in a dialogue situation."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["9d359def-dc0f-4ac7-a978-8df771bc0984"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791126736980672512,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:32:46.487Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:09:26Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:33:21Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"3f97e3b7-b623-4dce-942e-3661628244df","accessControl_ssim":["0f116e38-dcea-42f7-966f-803fe92fab97"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A praxis of liturgical catechesis: an examination of the educational and liturgical faith impact of the Orthodox Lamentation Celebration"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:09:25Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:58:24Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["47eb331e-f0fa-49d6-a186-01f2985793a5"],"hasLease_ssim":["b735e649-acaa-487f-bacf-ea364618eee2"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Richard T Murray"],"year_tesim":["1986"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Frank C Marangos"],"keyword_tesim":["Practice (Theology)"],"publisher_tesim":["Perkins School of Theology Southern Methodist University"],"subject_tesim":["Worship","Groome, Thomas H","Catechetics--Orthodox Eastern Church","Theology","Christian education"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project examines the impact of the liturgical catechesis of the Orthodox Lamentation Celebration on faith development in terms of Thomas Groome's shared Christian praxis approach.
