The scope of this project includes a survey of scriptural passages that support the need for administrative ministry, pertinent theological issues, and a description of instruments developed and used to demonstrate and test administrative ministry.  These instruments were in the form of a resource guide for the chaplains.  Church administration is a prime example of practical theology at work.  There is a definite ministry in administration.  Administration should be a team effort. A task force was recruited to investigate methods of announcing the lordship of Christ by adopting the role of journalists for the church.  Its method and results were studied over a period of several months through participation in the group, frequent consultation with the minister of the church, detailed interviews with members of the church.  The written project offers a theological reflection on these activities. The practicum's hypothesis is that when laywomen are introduced to their history through stories of significant laywomen and are provided occasions for personal reflection in the light of these stories, the experience will be empowering.  Women's contemporary situation is described and history is surveyed to substantiate the need for empowerment. The significance of stories is examined from both theological and feminist points of view. The first group designed and implemented a one-day voter registration drive in South Oak Cliff, registering 55 persons in Dallas County. The hypothesis was:  Effective incorporation and nurture of early adolescents in the Christian initiation process, particularly through preparation for Confirmation, is dependent upon a structured and active involvement on the part of the parents and godparents/sponsors in the faith community of the local parish.  A confirmation program was designed for 6th-graders and their parents.  Two tracks, one for the 6th-graders and one for the parents, ran concurrently during an eight-month period. The project describes the course 'Making Meaning' used in the practicum experience and presents biblical, historical and sociological background on the theme of vocation, along with current resources on faith development and the adult life cycle. It studies how the transition of culture affects the foundational images of the church and defines mission objectives for the congregation, such as reaching out to Hindu friends in Dallas.  The purpose has been fulfilled. The cohesion with the Episcopal Church creates a new identity for the church as a called out community.  The members have new mission objectives and have established methods for reaching out to Hindu friends in Dallas. The information was used to outline a curriculum for ministry to and with adults.  A unit on family life and ministry to single parent families was tested in a church setting.  Interviews and observations of the participants in the ministry evidenced emotional healing, acceptance of the reality of the disruption of their family life, and adjustment to single parenting.
