The model drew on Letty Russell's work in partnership and on proleptic strategic planning. Both models called for identifying vision before planning steps to get there.  As expected, partnership developed among the planners working toward a common interest. Serendipity, synergy and sharing characterized the budding partnership.  Beyond the original model, leadership that assured participation by all was important.  Clear lines of accountability, communication, and decision-making when planners reached the limits of institutional possibilities were also crucial. This project tested the hypothesis by means of a series of planning sessions designed around major points of Barth's ecclesiology.  Each of these sessions consisted of lessons on the nature and mission of the church followed by periods of program analysis and planning. The report consists of a summary of the development of the project, its design, its hermeneutics, and the theology implicit in the program, particularly the theology of hope by Juergen Moltmann.
