It is a design which facilitates planning from the strengths of the church, utilizing the church's theology, traditions, and hopes for the future.  It also incorporates Lyle E Schaller's concept of 'potentialities-based planning'.  The report consists of a summary of the development of the project, its design, its hermeneutics, and the theology implicit in the program, particularly the theology of hope by Juergen Moltmann. Dealing with the theological image of an abandoning God, this project attempts to develop a theological praxis of ministry which will bring this congregation hope for the present and future. The project undertakes a discussion of loss and hope through breaking of bread, Bible study, and conversation.
