The thesis of this project is that the shared praxis approach can be a catalyst for congregational leaders to discern God's will. During an eight-week workshop based on the shared praxis approach, congregational leaders prayed, read scripture, meditated,and discussed what it meant to seek the kingdom of God in the hope of discerning God's will for the congregation's corporate mission and direction. The project conducts two surveys and a series of open forum and focus group meetings among church members, and also polls a random sampling of nonmembers in the surrounding community.
