It sought to combine relevant interpretation and accurate exposition of scripture with creative communication to bring life to the sermon.  The report uses both traditional and creative approaches to the message.  The comparative methodology involved a test group which responded to both types of sermons.  When the feedback was summarized, the project hypothesis was confirmed. The sermon situation is defined as a spirit-intensive encounter between preacher and congregation, based on the doctrine of the Holy Spirit, as found in a Wesleyan Holiness denomination.
