Through lecture and discussion, the project examined churches' views of Scripture and, moreover, whether they uphold the Bible as the only source of authority in the Christian life and Church.  Classes clarified understanding and deepened the participants' appreciation of sacred tradition while guiding them in discernment of the Church's call and purpose. This project developed an eight week adult Sunday school class that explored the roles and expectations of clergy and lay people. Four laypersons and the rector participated in the training and catechesis. The study includes theological foundations with a focus on process theology.  Educational foundations are based on developmental psychology.  The method of study included a wide range of programs in prayer, spiritual reading, Bible study and evangelism.  The result of the study has implications that such an educational design does sustain renewal.
